SUNDAY UPDATE #31
Everything I wore in Paris and two Netflix recommendations, what I bought in Paris and inspiration if you hate to wear sneakers, too.
Here’s a quick little update from last week, mainly everything I wore in Paris.
The week went by incredibly fast and it’s going to be June next Sunday (how on earth did that happen?).
THIS WEEK IN NUMBERS AND WORDS
FASHION CRISIS: 1 - I had a work event on Friday and the plan was to think about what I wanted to wear after Paris. Mainly because I thought I would have shopped in Paris. I didn’t (we’ll come to this in a second). So I rewatched
and ’s LIVE on event dressing and came up with an outfit according to their formula:
Event dressing = social code piece + safety blanket piece + modern pieceITEMS SOLD: 0
ITEMS BOUGHT: 1 via Vinted (I told you the addiction is real).
ITEMS ADDED TO WISHLIST: 0, no time for browsing!
FASHION MOOD: After an overconsumption of experiences and overwhelming to do lists and social events for the last two weeks, all I want to do is wear pyjamas and watch TV.
FASHION THOUGHTS: Of course my trip to Paris left me inspired style-wise. It’s true what they say that the city has a whole other fashion-vibe. But it’s more like the clothes are expressing their attitude more: Parisians just live their lifes.
EVERYTHING I WORE IN PARIS
Speaking of Paris… here’s everything I wore. We had a range of nice summer days and one grey rainy day so there’s a bit of everything.
If you’re interested in Paris recommendations, I put everything we did and liked into this little post here:
THE ULTIMATE PARIS GUIDE
Is there a better feeling than feeling inspired after a city trip that wasn’t too touristy? As I am typing this, I am on the Eurostar back home after three days in Paris and we didn’t even see the Eiffel Tower. We basically did the same things we do on days off at home (yoga, shopping, coffee dates) and enjoyed a bit of the local life (evenings by the S…
MONDAY
Monday was a travel day but the Eurostar will get you to Paris in three hours - that’s the amount of time I’m usually on a train when I go to the office, too. Here are the outfit details: Le Specs Outta Love sunglasses - H&M shirt - Vintage oversized leather blazer via Vinted - Topshop Petite pants - Tamaris ballet flats - A.P.C. Grace Mini bag.
We went for a casual dinner that evening and sat by the Seine for a bit. It got surprisingly warm during the day, so a tshirt with a sweater when it got colder in the evening was perfect.

TUESDAY
We went to some bookstores on Tuesday morning, then straight to yoga class and I had my yoga set underneath all this.

I recently wrote about After-Workout-Styling formulas and this was a perfect example of ‘I have other things on the agenda today, and I don’t want to run around in my Yoga set all day -we went to one of the Sézane stores after Yoga class.
THE BUSY GIRL AFTER WORKOUT STYLING FORMULAS
Last November, I decided to switch up my gym training with some cycling classes, yoga classes and some workout classes in different locations. However, I work a full-time job in another city, I have a social life and I am not willing to give this up or fully stress about any of these areas.
Then it got colder in the evening and we wanted to go somewhere nice for dinner because it was my friend’s birthday. We also spend a good hour by the Seine after dinner again.

WEDNESDAY
Our last day in Paris was rainy and colder in the afternoon. We spend the day mostly inside (bookstores, again, then coffee and shopping at Galerie Lafayettes). This was my version of ‘I want to feel good but be comfortable’.

EVERYTHING I BOUGHT IN PARIS
Well, I went to Paris with an intention to shop when I saw something I really loved. That didn’t happen. Some things weren’t available in my size or didn’t feel right. So, here’s everything I got in Paris:
an emergency bottle of Batiste dry shampoo (yup.)
VOGUE Collections Fall / Winter 2025 / 2026
(mainly because of the Calvin Klein show, I have to admit)VOGUE Scandinavia
MARFA magazine
Evenings and Weekends by Oisín McKenna (a novel)
RESET DAY THINGS
I went straight back to work after Paris and had a work event on Friday evening, so one or two reset days were needed. I spent them in this outfit and watched ‘Sirens’ on Netflix (so good!) and then ‘The Four Seasons’ (love Tina Fey and everything Danny wears in the series, see below).

FASHION MOOD IN ONE PICTURE
Here’s a bit of a longer story: I randomly signed up for a halfmarathon for April next year (yeah) and started getting back to running about two weeks ago. This and then 24,000 steps in Paris a day just ruined every possible muscle from my hip downwards - especially my feet. So there won’t be any other option than going with sneakers and boots for a while and leave my beloved flat-flat shoes in my closet. I hate sneakers so I went through my saved Instagram posts and found this outfit which will be copied next week.
Happy weekend, everyone!
You and Maria Hyde are really influencing me on the Le Specs Outta Love sunnies - they look so good on you. I'd also love to know your secret for finding coats in that perfect maxi length.
What Kelly said! It made my heart happy on IG and I’m happy all over again here. So much inspiration in this post, too. 💜
