A TRANSITIONAL WARDROBE PLAY-AROUND
I got bored and created some transitional outfits on Indyx. Here's what I put together for warmer spring weather. A girl can dream about open-toe-looks already, right?
And just like that, it’s March. And my March, let me tell you, is packed. Packed with great social events, birthdays, exciting work trips and very good catch-ups with friends. Along with that comes the wardrobe-anxiety of ‘I have nothing to wear’ and ‘I don’t know what to wear in spring weather anymore’.
So I took twenty minutes to just play around on Indyx for a bit and created outfits from my own wardrobe. This is better than shopping and actually calmed me down.
And although I can’t wear all of the looks straight away (some of them are for slightly warmer weather), this got me excited for my clothes again, and that’s all I needed.
DENIM + WINTER COAT
A good way to ease into spring is to tip a toe into lighter colors and materials with denim shirts. Ideally, there will be a sunny day here and there so I added sunglasses.
TRENCH COATS
I have a trench coat collection. And as soon as the weather gets better, they get worn. Open toes might be a bit delusional in March but who knows.
LEATHER + LEOPARD PRINT
I love my leopard print bag from & other stories and I love it even more with leather. White denim is good to tone down the edgy feel to this.
WINTER COAT + BALLET FLATS
Also, a great balance when it’s getting warmer: a wool coat paired with light layers and ballet flats. Such a good pairing.
KNIT DRESSES
I don’t get to wear this knit dress too much and I am very sad about it. Spring is the perfect opportunity to really take advantage of owning this. I am going to Malta at the end of March and really hope to get a chance to wear it.
WOOL COATS + WHITE DENIM
Again, wool coats and lighter colors for the transitional periods. Here we go. Simple and easy, and so good.
WEARING SHIRTS AGAIN
I am all covered up in turtlenecks and knitwear in winter, and shirts are not on the list from November until March. So I can’t wait to style my white button-downs again.
DENIM + SUIT PANTS
I saw this idea on Anna’s Substack (see below) and I love it. The whole denim-on-denim-hype makes you forget about the perfection of denim and actual pants.
Have you ever just played around on Indyx like this? Do you have more tips on getting out of a style rut?
I feel like this was a great alternative to actually get dressed and try these looks. Let me know what you think!
Truly the best inspo!! I need a denim shirt!!
Love playing around with Indyx, gets me inspired! Leather & leopard is the dream.
